Exciting brand management and development role Middle East

The Organisation
Our client www.twofour54.com is a recently established, government funded organization which has a sweeping strategic and commercial mandate to develop Abu Dhabi as the centre of content creation, commercialization and distribution across traditional and new media for the entire Middle East and North African Region. twofour54 has four key business units (see website for details), each with their own sub-branding and a truly international and world-class executive management team.
The Role
The responsibilities of the role are primarily to strategically develop, implement and champion the twofour54 ‘master brand’, managing it across all communications, campaigns, activations and deployments. Secondarily, to manage the (general) marketing of the tawasol business unit within twofour54, delivering strategic marketing support accompanied by tangible plans to deliver business objectives. The role reports to the Head of Marketing for twofour54 (but also has a close working relationship with the Head of the tawasol business unit and its cross functional team). The person will manage a small team of brand and marketing managers, with the potential to grow responsibilities and team. Remuneration will include a generous tax free salary and living allowances.
The Person
Candidates MUST have all of the following essential attributes:
• At least seven, preferably ten years in client-side marketing roles in blue chip / premium brand environments (not agency roles).
• Deep experience in brand development, management and process.
• Successful track record growing and leading the marketing function within a business or business unit.
• Experience leading marketing teams at manager level.
• Exposure to digital marketing and responsibility for PR/comms functions.
• Excellent relationship skills (team, peers, partners, stakeholders, customers).
• Recognized marketing or business studies qualification.
The following attributes are highly desirable / advantageous.
• Trade marketing and B2B experience.
• Media industry experience (eg film, tv, digital, radio, print).
• Experience in MENA or GCC region.
• Experience working with luxury brands
• Arabic speaking
The ideal person is most likely in the 30-35 age group, currently a marketing manager and/or brand manager ready to move up (not a marketing director) and you’re working clients side, not agency side.
