Where we've come from


When DTDigital was founded in September 1996, we knew that the Internet would transform every aspect of the way businesses and consumers interact. We had no idea how quickly it would happen. But we knew it was something that we wanted to be part of.


We started out working with clients such as Mercedes Benz and Hewlett Packard, and designed a user interface for what was then a hot new search engine called Looksmart. We created one of Australia's first online communities for Roadrunner Records' Metalshop. More recently, we crafted one of the world's best web based car showrooms, and pioneered the world's first iPhone showroom for Honda. We worked with the Football Federation of Australia to fight to bring the FIFA World Cup™ to Australia, the first ever bid for a major event driven entirely by social media.


Along the way we've learned a lot and worked with some amazing people and the brands they represent. We've produced a body of work we are extremely proud of, winning more than 40 MADC, AIMIA, AGDA, IAB and Webby awards. More importantly, we've delivered exceptional results for our clients' businesses and formed rewarding, long-term partnerships.


We've brought together a team of 70 of the best people in the industry. We've also become part of the STW Group and a member of the global OgilvyInteractive network, giving us access to the biggest and most awarded digital communications team in the world.


While we're proud of where we've come from and the work we've done, we remain resolutely focused on what's next.

This model allows us to deliver our clients outstanding results today while future-proofing their business for tomorrow.


We are growing our industry leading digital strategy team, drawing from the knowledge and experience of the global Ogilvy network. At the same time we are expanding our range of specialist capabilities, adding video production, social media marketing, audience and user research, and further developing our analytics & optimisation offering.


Technology lies at the heart of everything we do. We've built a team of industry-leading software engineers and the most advanced hosting platform of any agency in Australia.


Our model allows us to create, build, and host almost everything we conceive, giving our clients a huge advantage in quality, flexibility and cost.


Change is our lifeblood


Our business has always been built on understanding and embracing change. David Ogilvy's famous quote is our mantra: "Change is our lifeblood." This sums up everything we believe about the need for businesses to innovate to survive and thrive in the digital age.


This mantra is not just lip-service. Today we bring leading speakers from around Australia to talk with our team and our clients. We have established 'Ogilvy Digital Labs' in Melbourne to focus on cutting-edge technological innovation. We've brought the Ogilvy Verge talks to Melbourne. Our team members are regular contributors to industry publications. And we've established industry-leading blogs showcasing our thinking and research, proving our position as thought leaders within the industry.
