Kates reaction: Another button! How many do we need or want?

Facebook's increasingly ubiquitous 'Like' button is getting a new friend: the Send button. Click on a webpage that has the Send button integrated, and you'll be prompted to share it with any of your Facebook Groups, your Facebook friends, or any standard email address. In other words, where the Like button is designed to let you quickly share content with all of your Facebook friends, the Send button is for sharing with a subset of them.

Facebook today launched a stand-alone community site (facebook-studio.com) where ad agency creatives can share ideas, comment on campaigns and learn what it takes to create a successful page for a brand. The community is called "Facebook Studio" and is a platform aimed at agencies, PR firms and media strategy companies.

Back in early December of last year, we first reported that Google was toying around with the name "+1" for an upcoming social product. At the time, we were told it was sort of like Google's version of the "like" or "retweet" button. Today it officially launches as a way to share Google Search results that you like with your friends and the broader web in general. Oh, and also a way to inject social into Google Ads.
